Ceylon Jewelry: a website that lets the pieces lead
Ceylon Jewelry Manufacturers makes bespoke jewellery in Sri Lanka. I redesigned the brand's website around one idea: the jewellery is the design. A restrained layout, a neutral palette and simple type keep out of the way, so the craftsmanship in each piece is what people notice.

The aim was a site that feels like the pieces it sells: clean, modern, and careful about detail. A neutral palette and simple typography frame the intricate work in each piece instead of competing with it, and the collection is laid out like a gallery, so browsing feels like walking past a display case rather than scrolling a catalogue.

A dark palette for platinum and diamonds
For the platinum and diamond pieces I switched to a dark palette. It adds depth and contrast, so the sparkle of the diamonds and the sheen of the platinum do the talking.

Built for the phone in your hand
The design is fully responsive. Layout, type and images were adjusted for small screens, so browsing the collection on the go is as easy as on a desktop.
